Nikita Afonso is an acoustic singer/guitarist and songwriter based in Vancouver, BC. After moving to the Lower Mainland from the Okanagan in 2014, Nikita quickly became an in-demand event singer. Her delicate yet soulful voice is perfect for intimate events such as wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours and dinner parties.
CAREER BACKGROUND
While Nikita is an award-winning songwriter herself, she loves to perform cover songs ranging from artists like Elvis to Ed Sheeran to The Eagles. With a wide range of songs and genres along with over a decade of experience, Nikita has the ability to captivate audiences from the vibrant young to the charming old.
After winning MTV Cover of the Month, Nikita went on to gain the title of Best New Artist of the Year as well as Song of the Year at the International Portuguese Music Awards. She has also opened for Tom Cochrane and Paul Brandt and shared a stage with Keith Urban
Nikita was the winner of ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Music Video of the Year’ - International Portuguese Music Awards and voted Best Musician in the South Okanagan.

Nikita is a singer/songwriter, acoustic guitarist, and has a powerful, soulful, yet delicate voice. Her repertoire ranges from Top 40 artists such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa to the classics such as Elvis, The Eagles and Etta James.
Nikita has also added Wedding + Event DJ to her repertoire. Because of Nikita’s years of experience performing for live crowds, she knows how to read an audience to help guide the right music for your event.
Furthermore, Nikita is part of the Jazz Coast Trio - as in demand Vancouver Jazz Trio features Nikita’s vocals, Adrian Emond on guitar, and Mitch Osterreicher on piano. Jazz Coast loves to perform cover songs ranging from Pop to Jazz by artists such as The Eagles, Elvis and Taylor Swift to Ed Sheeran and Etta James.
