Luc LeMans is a versatile, Vancouver-based guitarist/vocalist, ready to craft the perfect set-list for any occasion. For formal events, Luc enjoys playing the smooth hits of Motown, R&B, jazz, and soft rock (either fully acoustic or with the help of a loopstation). For party atmospheres, he performs as a "one-man party band," using a guitar, loopstation, and drum machine to recreate the classic sounds of the dance-floor hits you know and love. Whatever the occasion, Luc LeMans is excited to provide you with an unforgettable soundtrack!
CAREER BACKGROUND
Luc trained in the Classical music style, studying violin, piano, and music theory.
Pursuing violin to the university level, Luc joined the UBC Symphony Orchestra as well as the UBC Chamber Orchestra and UBC Opera Orchestra, performing countless concerts with these ensembles.
Eager to pursue his own path as a solo pop artist Luc also began to write/record his own pop music and booked several gigs around B.C. To date, Luc has been booked for major events such as the Honda Celebration of Light, the BMO Marathon, the Brewhalla Festival, Onni & Volvo’s Dragon Boat Festival, and St. John’s May Ball (Time Magazine’s 7th best party in the world!).
Luc has released several original tracks, international radio airplay, critical acclaim by numerous Canadian music outlets (Great Dark Wonder, Cups N Cakes, Tinnitist, Canadian Beats), and a music video award nomination by Dropout Entertainment.
MUSIC STYLE
1) Smooth Lounge Act: either acoustic (guitar + vocals) or with a loopstation, Luc perform the hits of Motown, smooth soul, R&B, and soft rock.
2) One-Man Party Band Act: using a loopstation and drum machine, Luc performs exciting, one-man renditions of the big singalong hits of every genre — rock, pop, R&B, disco, and much more! Combining high-energy vocals, show-stopping guitar solos, and unique loopstation arrangements, Luc’s one-man party band act delivers all the fun of a full-size band!
For both acts, Luc has countless songs to choose from in a variety of styles. Drawing influence from a wide range of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Prince, The Rolling Stones, Linda Ronstadt, Ed Sheeran, and many more, there’s something for everyone in Luc’s sets! (Luc is also familiar with various types of PA systems and setups, ensuring a high-quality sound no matter the size of the venue.)
