Jon Roper
GET TO KNOW JON
A long time Vancouver resident, Jon Roper is now based in Nanaimo.
CAREER BACKGROUND
A versatile performer, he has toured the world and recorded with many original projects including Spacious Couch, Spygirl and more recently Buckman Coe and LJ Mounteney. He is also an on-call session guitarist and currently plays with the legendary house band The Shenanigans at Vancouver’s Blarney Stone.
Jon has played at countless corporate, public and private functions with various cover bands including Dr Strangelove, Ten Souljiers, Infamous Players and The Ticket.
JON’s MUSIC STYLE
Jon’s solo act includes pop, rock and r&b hits through the decades and today’s top tracks. Jon utilizes a looper and bass pedal to add layers to his upbeat guitar and vocals. He can also play solo classical and jazz guitar, perfect for weddings or intimate events
