Colm Donnelly
GET TO KNOW COLM
Colm was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland but moved to Vancouver in 2016. He started playing guitar at around the age of 15 and began writing songs soon after. He loves guitar-based music the most ever since he got The Beatles 1 album at Christmas one year before he was a teen and his brain was altered forever.
CAREER BACKGROUND
Colm was the lead singer of Belfast indie outfit- The Sass and Vancouver's Bute Street. He has professionally recorded 40 songs between the two bands. You can find both bands on streaming platforms.
Colm’s biggest gig was supporting The Coronas in Derry, playing to 500 people.
He has recorded my first solo project in 2023. He has released his debut single- Money in 2023 and plans on releasing 2 more tracks this year.
COLM’S MUSIC STYLE
Colm is regularly complimented on the variation of his sets as he plays a good mix of music. He can go from Dion and the Belmonts to Bob Dylan to Culture Club to The Beatles to John Denver and Dolly Parton to The Dubliners and the Pogues to Bob Marley to Miley Cyrus to Shaggy and many more curve balls in between well-known standards.
He enjoys rock’n’roll, pop and folk and knows enough sing-alongs to get a party going.
