Cassandra Bangel is a soulful songwriter and multi-faceted performer who has truly come into her own through the act of writing, playing, and sharing her music.
Born into a musical family in Coquitlam, British Columbia, she was influenced by the sounds of blues and rock before taking her earliest musical steps on classical piano at the age of 7. As she became equally proficient on piano, guitar, and ukulele, Cassandra realized that her greatest musical instrument was her voice.
Her musical journey is a testament to her passion and dedication, and it continues to evolve as she shares her art with the world.
CAREER BACKGROUND
Cassandra Bangel entered the professional recording scene in 2010 with the release of her first EP, "Why?" This five-track effort explored a range of styles from classical pop to pulsing rock.
She then collaborated with veteran music producer Paul Shatto to create "Four Chambers" in 2013, a four-song journey that delves into her interpretation of the four primary emotions within the human heart.
That same year, she performed at several notable events, including the TD Vancouver Jazz Festival, Harmony Arts Festival, YVR’s Takeoff Fridays, and The Cobalt. Her live looping cover of LP’s “Into the Wild” even garnered international attention from the American singer on Twitter.
With another EP released in early 2015, Cassandra continued to expand her creative horizons, adding to her growing list of professional accomplishments.
