From the early days gigging at festivals across the country to the release of her inaugural Neo-soul EP “Some Thoughts I've Had,” Cara Bateman's music gets straight to the heart. At her essence, Cara is a vocalist’s vocalist, floating with ease between dreamy, sultry, and powerful, and her songwriting tows the line between profound and relatable.
CAREER BACKGROUND
In 2019, Cara was handpicked as a featured artist for Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Following a move to Vancouver in 2022, she kicked things off in the local scene with a performance at the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival. In 2023 she gained recognition in the BC festival circuit with performances at Tiny Lights, REVY.Live Outdoor Concert Series, and Khatsahlano Street Festival. She’s also recently opened for and collaborated with such artists as Dashboard Confessional, The Elwins, MAUVEY, Ezra Jordan, Chrystal Leigh, and JUNO Award-winners Dizzy.
